There are large AC regulators of tens to thousands of kilowatts, which are working power supply for large-scale experiment, industrial and medical equipment. There are also small AC regulators of several to several thousand watts, which provide high-quality power for small laboratory or home appliances.
According to the different output properties of the voltage regulator, it is generally divided into two categories: AC voltage regulator (AC voltage regulator) and DC voltage regulator (DC voltage regulator). The following focuses on DC regulated power supply, referred to as regulated power supply.
According to the working state of the regulator, the regulated power supply is usually divided into two types: linear regulated power supply and switching regulated power supply. In addition, there is a small power supply using a regulator.
1、 Switching regulators:
The switching regulator uses the output stage to repeatedly switch the "on" and "off" states to generate the output voltage together with the energy storage components (capacitors and inductors). Its adjustment is realized by adjusting the switching timing according to the feedback sample of the output voltage. In a fixed frequency regulator, the switching timing is adjusted by adjusting the pulse width of the switch voltage, which is called PWM control. In a gated oscillator or pulse mode regulator, the width and frequency of the switching pulse remain constant, but the "on" or "off" of the output switch is controlled by feedback.
According to the arrangement of switches and energy storage components, the output voltage can be greater than or less than the input voltage, and multiple output voltages can be generated with one voltage regulator. In most cases, under the same input and output voltage requirements, the efficiency of switching power supply with pulse (step-down) voltage regulator is higher than that with linear voltage regulator. Compensation type - high precision AC compensation type regulated power supply (single-phase 0.5kva and above, three-phase 1.5KVA and above) has compensation transformer and 110V output.
2、 Valuepoint voltage regulator:
LDO is a linear regulator. A linear regulator uses transistors or FETs operating in its linear region to subtract excess voltage from the applied input voltage to produce a regulated output voltage. The so-called voltage drop refers to the minimum difference between the input voltage and the output voltage required by the regulator to maintain the output voltage within 100mV above and below its rated value. LDO (low dropout) regulators with positive output voltage usually use power transistors (also known as transfer devices) as PNPs. This transistor allows saturation, so the voltage regulator can have a very low voltage drop, usually about 200 mV; compared with NPN composite power transistor, the traditional linear voltage regulator has a voltage drop of about 2 v. The negative output LDO uses NPN as its transfer device, and its operation mode is similar to the PNP device of the positive output LDO.
Newer developments use CMOS power transistors, which provide the lowest voltage drop. With CMOS, the only voltage drop across the regulator is caused by the on resistance of the load current of the power supply. If the load is small, the voltage drop produced in this way is only tens of millivolts.
3、 Voltage stabilizer for laser cutting machine:
According to the use requirements of high power laser cutting machine, combined with the current situation of power supply in our country, we should strictly formulate the voltage stabilizer which is suitable for the use of laser cutting machine, and the energy-saving product specially developed for the purpose of stabilizing the AC voltage. When the supply voltage of distribution network fluctuates or the load changes, the stability of output voltage can be guaranteed automatically. It must have the characteristics of large capacity, high efficiency, wide voltage stabilizing range, no additional waveform distortion and phase shift, fast strain time and stability. With short circuit, mechanical failure and other perfect alarm protection function, at the same time, the volume should be as compact and compact as possible, easy to use.
Electricity can produce a magnetic field, and the magnetic field can also be converted into electricity. The regulator uses the negative feedback principle. In the regulator, there is a circuit that can detect the change of output voltage (the sampling circuit of the partial resistance at the inverse input of the error amplifier, which can be reduced to only one integrated chip). When the output voltage changes, the circuit that detects the change of output voltage is fed back by the chip to the private server motor, and then by the servo motor Drive the arm to automatically adjust the position of the brush, so as to stabilize the output voltage, which is the simplest voltage regulator.
To sum up, the transformer does not have the function of stabilizing voltage, but the negative feedback technology can be used to design the transformer with the function of stabilizing voltage, which is no problem, but the general transformer is not so. The output voltage of the transformer changes little in a certain range of use, which is not a concept with what we call voltage stabilization.
All voltage regulators use the same technology to stabilize the output voltage. The output voltage is sampled by a partial resistance connected to the inverse input of the error amplifier, and the in-phase input of the error amplifier is connected to a reference voltage. Error amplifiers always try to force their inputs to be equal at both ends. For this purpose, it provides load current to ensure stable output voltage (i.e. negative feedback)
